I've had an innate drive to be a creative for as long as I can remember, from making birthday cards, sewing dolls clothes with beautiful fabric scraps found in my grandmas boutique workshop, to attending the art focused high school ‘ Moseley Art School ‘ in the 1970’s.

The sense of fulfilment and empowerment that art brought me as a child has never left me.

Originally from Birmingham, I studied Fashion and Textiles at Manchester Met University before settling in Leeds, Yorkshire.

While raising my family, I kept my creative spirit alive, designing and making bridal accessories & crafting felt names for children’s rooms, launching a greeting card business called Cardology, and supplying card & craft kits to retailers.

But painting always lived quietly in the background , waiting for its moment.

I made a promise to myself : when my children left home I would start to paint & paint big and bold !

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Why did I wait?

Now, 15 years on, I’m fully immersed in a creative journey that brings me deep joy and purpose.

My work continues to be inspired by a deep sense of wonder, and I strive to let that curiosity and energy shine through in every piece.

And my greatest masterpieces ?

Without question , my three beautiful children, who inspire me every single day.
